This year''s festival will showcase a performance of "The Infernal Comedy - Confessions of a Serial Killer," with John Malkovich in the lead role, accompanied by the Wiener Akademie Orchestra (Austria), as well as singers Claire Meghnagi (Israel/Italy) and Barbara Bobro (Sloevnia).
The festival will also include performances by violinist Valeriy Sokolov (Ukraine), the Doric String Quartet (UK) and Alexander Melnikov (Russia), pianist Igor Tchetuev (Ukraine) and a concert paying homage to Giuseppe Verdi featuring oboe player Gianfranco Bortolato (Italy).
"We are excited about the world-class lineup to take the stage at this year''s Eilat Chamber Music Festival," said Haim Gutin, Israel Commissioner for Tourism, North and South America, "which will undoubtedly attract yet another wave of music-lovers to visit Israel this year."
The festival will also include the premiere of "Voyages," a multi-cultural music project of rhythms, musical colors and melodies created by Israeli percussion duo Salamandrum, as well as a performance by the German Brass Ensemble.
