Ron Jones, a first-year high school Social Studies teacher, was asked questions like these by his students as he taught his World War II unit. Rather than respond with lectures, however, Mr. Jones created a simulation, which, he hoped, would guide his students to discover the answers for themselves.
This true story of a life-changing week in the lives of Ron Jones, his students, and their school is brought to life in JEST's upcoming presentation of the drama,The Third Wave, written by Ron Jones himself, with Joseph Robinette. JEST is proud to bring The Third Wave to Israel, a compelling story for adults as well as high school-aged teenagers.
JEST invites you to witness what happened in a high school classroom in Palo Alto California in 1967. And, perhaps, when you leave the theatre, you will have a greater understanding of how people could have been, not aberrant monsters or freaks of history, but people not unlike ourselves.
